The prime minister emphasized that Albania is a strategic partner of the European Union and the USA, but also has close partnerships with the United Arab Emirates and the Gulf countries.

The prime minister also highlighted the organization in Tirana of the 6th Summit of the European Political Community, while stating that this would not have been imagined 10 or 5 years ago.

Meanwhile, Rama said that the times we live in are complicated and Europe can and should think of doing the unthinkable.

Meanwhile, Rama expressed his belief that a golden age can also come for Europe. “We can open an incredible era in Europe too,” said Rama.

“When I heard the US president Donald Trump talk about a golden age approaching, my feeling was that in fact, by wishing the best for the US, a golden age could also come for Europe”, said Rama.

While appreciating that this Forum gathered today in Tirana as a benchmark of the effort to think differently, Rama expressed his commitment to everything that will come out of it and that everyone can have the feeling that they can return to Albania to invest and stay. /p.s./

Participating in the International Forum “Future Investment Initiative” (FII), which is being held for the first time in Europe and precisely in Albania, Macron said that he was jealous that this platform was being held in Albania.

“I am really jealous that this platform is being held for the first time in Europe, in Albania,” he said.

The French president emphasized the importance for the countries of the European Union and beyond to have a clear strategy for competitiveness and to place investments at the center of this strategy. Macron calls for reshaping EU budget and investments in technology, defense and AI.

Macron noted that the European Commission has taken steps towards simplification, but considered them insufficient. He emphasized the need for a common European market in three critical sectors: telecommunications, energy and finance, which are currently not fully integrated.

At the end of the European Political Community (EPC) Summit yesterday in Tirana, Prime Minister Edi Rama announced holding of this two-day event which focuses on connecting European innovation with global capital.

Rama said that it is a fantastic event, “An excellent investment forum, with a large number of very prominent investors coming from the Middle East, Europe, USA and it will be another great day for Albania and Tirana”.

Following welcoming remarks by PM Rama and French President Emmanuel Macron, other prominent global leaders are participating, including His Excellency Yasir Al-Rumayyan of the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia and influential figures from business, finance and government.

The summit will also highlight young leaders who are actively shaping the future of Europe and will launch a report by the FII Institute on the future of work, highlighting how next-generation talent will harness artificial intelligence to redefine productivity and innovation.

According to the published agenda, Jared Kushner, son-in-law of US President Donald Trump, is also set to speak at the event to discuss investment opportunities in emerging markets.
