The opposition lawmaker-elect Enkelejd Alibeaj said in a press statement that although fire at the landfill in Fier has been burning for days now, “local and central authorities have failed to act, and the consequences are legal, political and health ones.”

According to Alibeaj, “the environmental catastrophe affecting Fier local families is actually a product of the incinerators mafia that in collaboration with Edi Rama has grabbed over 26.5 million euros in Albanian taxpayers’ money.”

A fire at the landfill in Mbrostar, Fier, has been burning for several days now.
