“In Albania, the ‘Pfizer’ vaccine entered with authorization and after clearance through customs, it was delivered to the Institute of Public Health, for which I say with full responsibility, in optimal storage storage conditions,” said Fico.

“This process, which is sensitive in times of pandemics, starts with the quality of the vaccine, its safety and its effectiveness. So we do not have any doubt about ‘Pfizer’ what has been made available to us and internationally for the quality of their product. We know it has come in optimal storage conditions. It was transported by the Public Health Institute in optimal storage conditions to vaccination sites, according to the guidelines of Pfizer,” she said.

In response to the question whether a person who has received the first dose can contract the virus, Fico said that this is possible, and the reason has to do with vaccine sensitivity, the immune response to vaccination.

Regarding Pipero’s case, the director of PHI stated that a person builds long-term protection from the coronavirus after receiving the two doses of the vaccine.

Regarding the time when vaccines will be provided, Fico said right now there is a lot of concern about the issue of vaccine quantity. “First, January is not over. Secondly, every person who has been inoculated will get the second dose and until the first 10 days of February we will continue with the vaccination process by fulfilling the obligation to these persons,” said Fico.

“We are fighting in all directions, so that no matter what happens, we can benefit from the agreements between the states. We have concluded agreements, we have made payments. We store the vaccine in optimal conditions, we are moving forward with the vaccination plan. We expect a delivery of over 10 thousand doses any time soon,” she said.
