Local residents are taking advantage of this week of holidays to celebrate and revel in a plethora of festive activities at Tirana’s main “Skanderbeg” square.

The festive season’s decorations bewilders everyone with the colours and lights, whereas local residents make the city’s squares and streets more vibrant by strolling during these December evenings ahead of the New Year’s Eve or by tasting locally grown produce and traditional delicacies offered at the wooden chalets.

The Albanian Telegraphic Agency (ATA) has arranged a collection of photos by photojournalist Agim Dobi, showing the festive atmosphere of the year-end holiday season in Tirana.
