Over the years, the festival has become one of the most cherished summer events, bringing life, cultural richness, and enjoyment to the heart of Shpat.

Organic products—honey, jams, and mountain herbs—were showcased at a fair where nature met tradition.

Colorful handicrafts, skillfully crafted by local women, brought the spirit of Albanian craftsmanship to the festival. True to tradition, the festival buzzed with music as popular performers energized the crowd with a vibrant concert featuring dance and enthusiastic applause.

Elbasan Mayor Gledian Llatja thanked all attendees for their participation and support, including foreign tourists who chose to visit Gjinar and experience firsthand its natural beauty, culture, and local hospitality.

The event highlighted the significant transformation Gjinar has seen due to investments by the Elbasan Municipality, including the renovation of the village center and support for local guesthouses—now vital drivers of mountain tourism in the region.

More than just a festival, “Friends of the Mountain” serves as a call to reconnect with nature, celebrate culture, and embrace the shared values that bring the community together.
