TIRANA, Dec 14 /ATA/ The European Literature Festival in Tirana (FELT) continued last night at the French hall of the National Library “Sotir Kolea,” featuring inspiring discussions and readings from the next two European authors.

Polish author Margo Rejmer, who took part in FELT with the support of the Polish Embassy, shared her profound connection to Albania through her work.

Reflecting on her book “Mud sweeter than honey: Voices from Communist Albania,” she shared how she aimed to immerse herself in the lives of those who suffered, rebelled, and survived during the dictatorship.

Through the vivid and first-hand accounts she collected, Margo described how she witnessed their pain and resilience through her own eyes.

French author Dominique Barbéris, attending FELT with the support of the French Embassy, offered a deeply introspective reflection on her celebrated novel “Une façon d’aimer,” which won the Grand Prix du Roman de l’Académie Française 2023.

Through the quiet and melancholic life of Madeleine, the story takes us to post-war France and a decolonizing Cameroon, capturing the unspoken emotions of a woman in search of something undefined.

FELT continues today with Croatian author Miro Gavran and Italian author Paolo Giordano, followed by a unique concert by Musica Nova.
