Following the investigation of this market the Competition Authority announces that, “the enterprises” AGRO BLEND “LLC and” MBM “LLC were fined respectively in the amount of 2 million ALL and” ÇAÇA “LLC in the amount of 500 thousand ALL”.

The authority underlined that the evaluation of the conduct of the inspected enterprises showed that: AGRO BLEND LLC, MBM LLC and ÇAÇA LLC have carried out coordinated action contrary to the law “On Protection of Competition”, as amended, by importing chemical fertilizers: Hydrogenmortofosf (DAP), Nitrate and URE at the beginning of 2021, and launching these products on the market with increased price from February 2021 onwards.

The fine imposed by the Competition Authority follows some interim measures that were previously recommended for the same companies by a decision of March this year.

“In case of non-implementation of interim measures within the deadlines set out in this decision, the Competition Authority imposes periodic fines of up to 5% of the average daily turnover, until the companies act in accordance with the decision on interim measures, pursuant to Article 76, point 1, letter b) of law no. 9121/2003 ”, it is stated in the Authority decision. /j.p/p.s./
