The figures of trucks and cars, which have used the ferries of Durrës – Bari and Durrës – Ancona lines and return have recorded an increase of respectively 22 and 3%.

According to the statistical data made available by the Durrës Port Authority, the ferries have transported about 221 thousand tons of goods in total, with inbound freight handled in Durres port recording the largest increase.

Since earlier this year, the ferries have operated 214 round-trip cruises, or 12 more cruises than in the quarter of 2020, while the number of passengers who have traveled by ferry has numbered about 80 thousand in total, or 17% less than last year.

Despite the gradual increase during March, ferry passenger numbers remain low due to COVID-19 restrictions.
