According to the data of the Bank of Albania, the value of foreign direct investments this year has increased by 35% compared to the same period of the previous year.

According to BoA, the second quarter of the year saw a record flow of foreign direct investments, which amounted to 337 million euros. This figure is 43% higher compared to the same period last year and at the same time the highest value of foreign investments ever recorded in a single quarter.

“During the second quarter of 2022, incoming foreign exchange flows in the form of foreign direct investments were mainly concentrated in the hydrocarbons sector at the extent of 18%, energy at the extent of 13%, financial mediation at the extent of 5%, as well as communication at 2%”, BoA says.
