TIRANA, Oct 2 /ATA/ Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj, who participated in the meetings held on the sidelines of the Berlin Global Dialogue together with Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku and Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mirela Kumbaro Furxhi, emphasized that in these meetings the Albanian delegation shared the view that it is needed collective engagement at the regional level and beyond in addressing future challenges, such as geopolitics, demographics, climate change, and rapid technological developments.

“Malaj made reference to the meeting with Lars Hendrik Roller, describing it as an excellent opportunity to share the progress that Albania is making in its negotiations with the EU, as we are just a few days away from opening the first chapters.

‘Albania is seen as a country with great potential for Foreign Direct Investment, thanks to significant infrastructure investments, tourism development, and improvements in the business climate. This was also confirmed during our meeting with senior managers of some of the most prestigious companies,’ Malaj said while sharing highlights from the meetings on social media.”

“The creation of synergies aimed at identifying collaboration and promoting joint solutions in the face of global challenges remains of paramount importance,” he added.

Deputy Prime Minister Balluku stated yesterday that the Berlin Global Dialogue remains one of the most important forums, and Albania should not miss any opportunity to promote itself at all these international forums and to inform foreign investors that the country now meets all the criteria to be considered a member of the European Union.”
