The discussion also focused on the proposal to scrap the tax on whey and milk cream with the aim of easing the fiscal burden on the producers and traders of these products.

“Together with Minister Delina Ibrahimaj and representatives of dairy farms from all over Albania, we discussed the impact of fiscal policies on livestock and the production and processing chain, assuring dairy farmers of transparency and support.”

“We also discussed with them the incentive policy for livestock this year, which we are orienting towards the needs of the sector, but also by listening attentively to the groups of farmers and animal breeders,” the minister emphasized.

Meanwhile, the meeting also discussed the development of regulatory mechanisms in relation to fiscal policies and the National Support Scheme, to ensure good cooperation between the parties and the development of Livestock with the ultimate aim of offering a safer and better quality product for the consumer as well as guaranteeing the expansion of the sector’s exports to new international markets.
