Addressing a ceremony where 789 property ownership titles were distributed to local residents in Dhermi, Rama said that the old family homes are assets and they can be transformed into most sought-after accommodation facilities and attractions for both foreign and local visitors.

“These old family houses can serve as the basis for an additional income source for everyone in the area, With the ownership certificate in your hand, you can now apply for bank loans and transform these houses into guesthouses and accommodation facilities. This way you can build a household economy here in Himara region,” Rama said.

The government head pointed out that the number of foreign tourists to the country is increasing significantly.

“The number of tourists has increased so high that none could have ever imagined. More than 10 million tourists visited the country last year and their number can soar to 12 million or 13 million this year. And this is not happening accidentally, but because tourists find a reason to visit the country. Their number will keep rising and this will help family businesses operating in tourism to increase their income,” PM Rama added.
