The State Police reported today that the specialists for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crime in the Local Police Directorate of Elbasan executed the security measures “Prison arrest”, for the criminal offense “Falsification of election materials and election results”, for citizens : E. K., 35 years old, resident in Përrenjas; Y. K., 35 years old, resident of Karkavec village, Përrenjas; D. A., 49 years old, resident in Përrenjas; E. D., 31 years old, resident in the village of Berzeshta, Përrenjas; M. V., 33 years old, resident in the village of Rrajcë Fushë, Përrenjas; O. A., 40 years old, resident in Përrenjas.

According to the investigative actions, it is suspected that these citizens, who used to be vote counters during the election process of 25.04.2021, in cooperation with each other, have intervened in the table of result recording data different from those of the ballot papers in order to favor the candidates of electoral subjects.

The investigative materials were forwarded to the Elbasan Prosecutor’s Office, for further actions./p.s./
