In a social media post, Prime Minister Edi Rama announces Albania’s participation in FITUR Madrid, one of the world’s largest tourism fairs, focusing on the Spanish and Latin American markets.
“Prime Minister Rama highlights the increasing number of visitors each year, starting today, as an opportunity to showcase the emotions and new experiences our country has to offer.”
Under the slogan “Albania, all senses,” Albania aims to attract visitors by showcasing positive and sustainable tourism practices that promote natural tourism destinations, local producers, ancient traditions, handcrafted products, and heartfelt hospitality.

Last year, Albania took part in the “Fitur” fair in Madrid, with its stand drawing thousands of visitors who showed interest in traveling to our country.

Last year, Albania was visited by 11.7 million foreign tourists. The country’s recovery in tourism has been highly praised and promoted by the World Tourism Organization, which has selected Albania several times as a hub for global travel industry events and spotlight, making it the leader of the Tourism Barometer.

Prime Minister Edi Rama hosted on Tuesday the CEO of Messe Berlin, Mario Tobias and the director of ITB Berlin, Deborah Rothe. In attendance of the meeting held in the venues of the Prime Minister’s office was also Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mirela Kumbaro.

“With Mario Tobias, the head of the Berlin Fair Centre, which hosts the world’s largest tourism fair “ITB Berlin” as well as with Deborah Rothe, the director of ITB, to talk over the steps of cooperation in the light of next year’s edition of the tourism fair, where Albania has received the invitation to be the country of honour, gaining the central position in the fair and the support of the ITB for promoting Albanian tourism in a whole chain of activities culminating in March 2025 at the Berlin grand show” said Rama.

The Prime Minister stressed that this is an unimaginable appreciation until a few years ago and an extraordinary global promotion of Tourist Albania.
