TIRANA, March 17 /ATA/- Istanbul hosted the Textile and Accessories Fair, one of the largest fairs that features 558 stands exhibiting their products.

This event includes all textile industries gathered under one roof. It provides an excellent opportunity for businesses to trade among the best textile industries and designers around the world.

Also present at this event was Delina Ibrahimaj, State Minister for Enterprise Protection and Business Climate, who attached high importance to this visit, as such fairs help local business and Albanian entrepreneurs build new cooperation bridges.

Textiles and footwear are the country’s largest exporting sector, and such fairs are important for the garment sector, as Turkey is a producer of raw materials. “We are participating with 45 Albanian entrepreneurs in this fair, which is the largest textile fair in this region, also the second in Europe. It offers places, meeting points, which entrepreneurs need in order to establish contacts, either for the raw materials they need to produce, but also to find potential customers to sell their products. It is awesome to see 550 manufacturers come to the same space, precisely to showcase their products and across the textile sector, accessories, pieces, but also finished products, i.e. clothing, they interact with each other in order to find cheaper prices, new markets. They are important to read the need that the market has for these products, but also to show the potential that Albania has with all the companies invested in this field. I am convinced that they will come out of this fair with new contacts that will serve the textile processing sectors especially in this period,” Ibrahimaj said.

Minister of State for the Protection of Entrepreneurship and Business Climate underlines that Albania continues to be a competitor in this sector due to the high quality of the products and the qualified workforce, which has been working in this sector for 30 years.

“Through such events we can keep the textile manufacturing industry afloat, with the aim of moving from toll manufacturing to final producers. And a key point to transition from toll manufacturers to a closed cycle, are precisely the raw materials where Turkey is one of the leading producers in the world”, she said.
Minister Ibrahimaj emphasized that the government’s role is to support enterprises through genuine packages, which are already being applied by calling them sovereign guarantee instruments, so that business has the opportunity to invest in machinery, reducing costs and increasing capacities to realize the closed loop production.
