TIRANA, June 15 /ATA/ “Made in Albania” products such as wine, beer, olive oil, mineral water, honey, etc., were displayed at the International Consumer Goods Fair for Eastern and Central European countries in China, which opened in Ningbo, from 9-11 June 2021.

The Director of the Agency for Agricultural and Rural Development (ARDA) Frida Krifca said that, “Arbri wine – produced in Rrëshen, Musai olive oil – produced in Vlora, participate with dignity and arouse curiosity in the International Consumer Goods Fair for Eastern and Central European countries in China. ”

According to her, these two enterprises are leading Albanian brands that have grown and strengthened thanks to the support of ARDA, adding that this important event is an opportunity to expand markets, promote cooperation and Albanian exports in the Chinese market.
During the China-Central and Eastern European Summit organized in February this year, the General Administration of Customs of China and the Ministry of Agriculture of Albania signed two protocols for inspection and sanitary conditions of the quarantine for the export of honey and dairy products, from Albania to China. Following successful talks which were held online in April this year on trade in agricultural products, the two countries are pushing for an agreement on the control and quarantine of other Albanian exports in China.
The exhibition was a good opportunity, as one of the products on display was honey, which is part of this protocol.
Trade between China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe has grown steadily in recent years. Years ago, the total volume of bilateral trade exceeded for the first time US $ 100 billion, 8.4% more compared to 2019, while in the first quarter of this year it increased by 50.2%, 11 percentage points above the average level of China’s foreign trade growth.
