TIRANA, Dec 1 /ATA/ Tirana International Fair, organized by Klik Ekspo Group, opened on Wednesday afternoon the 27th edition.

After a one- year pause, Klik Ekspo Group returns with the Tirana International Fair under slogan: “One Balkan, Stronger Balkan” / “A single Balkans, a stronger Balkans.”

Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Enkelejda Muça, said in her remarks that, connectivity and communication in the region are the scope of MoIE.

“This ministry is making every effort to lay the groundwork in infrastructure development and precisely through air and ground corridors, which represent the infrastructure of the future,” Muça said.
She cited the most important infrastructure projects in the country such as Corridor 8, the port of Durres, Vlora airport which ,according to her, will spur socio-economic development.

Veliaj: Next year this fair will focus on youth businesses

In his remarks delivered at the opening of this fair, the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj said that, “this fair brought us back to normalcy. “Klik Ekspo Group” is a routine of the last 30 years. The fact that business, trade, economic exchanges are the things that bring Balkans together means that this is a common denominator and this part should be maximized. If we produce more than we consume, surely we will be a successful region. “The Balkans can be an economic power only through cooperation and I do not think there is a more relaxed space for these liaisons than this fair”, said Veliaj.

The vision of Prime Minister Edi Rama through the lenses of the “Open Balkan” is not the proposal that we agree on everything, but on those things that agreed upon on such as a barrier free trade, barrier free movement, a recognition of licenses , recognition of social security and pensions etc. and for all these reasons if we agree let’s move forward. I welcome the proposal that next year, when Tirana becomes the European Capital of Youth, this format will be focused on youth businesses, on those who look to the future. If we create the platform of Tirana, as the place where we exchange, where we link up, where we build networks, where we start businesses and launch startups, this would be one of the most beautiful projects we can implement next year “, said Veliaj.

The number of over 280 exhibitors with almost 30% of them represented, has increased as compared to the previous edition; The countries that are represented in this fair are Albania, Kosovo, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Bosnia- Herzegovina, Croatia, Cameroon, Belgium.

The sectors mainly represented by local businesses, exhibitors and foreign investors are: construction materials and construction; Transport; Mechanical Engineering; Agriculture and Agro-processing; Medicine; Financial Services; Mediation services.
