Leka’s magical works of art will be on display for art lovers until November 2.

The artist has told the media that drawing is very “connected” to man and the history of humanity: from the pictograms found in caves to the blackboards of Einstein, Bohr and Oppenheimer.

“Drawing has magic in itself, where the cause-effect scheme is missing and you wonder, how did this come about, how did this turn out?”, said Gazmend Leka.

Leka confessed that he began to create the drawings for this exhibition 3 years ago and that he, as a lecturer since 1991 at the University of Fine Arts, saw his students as an impetus to exhibit the works at the Gallery of the Faculty of Fine Arts (FAB).

For the exhibition “The Magic of Drawing”, the painter Leka has selected about 60 large-scale drawings and 15 small ones. As in other exhibitions in recent years, Leka has preferred to collaborate and have Ermir Hoxha as curator, his former student, now a lecturer in Albanian History of Art. /j.p/p.s./

Curator of the “Incandescent” exhibition Ardian Isufi wrote that Bashkim Dervishi sings a hymn to the “Woman”, her magic, her fragility and at the same time her visual strength in intermediate situations, somewhere in everyday life and somewhere at the crossroads of art history.

The images stemming from the same image is a concept and a clear artistic state which as Andy Warhol underlined: “I started to repeat the same image because I love the way repetition changes the same image”.

On his part, artist Bashkim Dervishi himself has said that each of his brushstrokes is like painting an inner light, a spiritual incandescence./p.s./

The exhibition, supported by the Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation has Olsi Laska as its project manager and is curated by Suzana Varvarica.

It summarizes a multitude of shapes, styles and forms with reminiscence in the present and light-shadow for the future.

Minister Blendi Gonxhja said that the exhibition, “invites you to reflect on the atmosphere of real and unreal images, themes, characters and visual research that have marked the ordeal of a difficult century”.

“Crossing the ages, this pavilion takes us into our collective past, pauses in the awakening of the early twenties, travels in the slumber of socialist realism, and meets the forms of shocking figurative art. A multitude of shapes, styles and forms with reminiscence in the present and light-shadow for the future”, he emphasized.

“Have a taste of this figurative conversation, which conveys the unique power of art and invites us to embrace the extraordinary values ​​of Albanian society, impregnating them in modern times”, said Gonxhja, inviting citizens to visit this exhibition which will remain open until August 15. /p.s./

The paintings will remain on display at the FAB gallery until May 21.

The artist brings the atmosphere of the afternoons at the hills of the ancient city of Apollonia, where the present-day people face their ancestors, the people of antiquity, who are presented as sculptures in painting.

The time travel brought by Artan Peqini is like an opportunity given to the public of modern times to better understand the surrounding reality.

The artist said that this exhibition is focused on the fable of a permanent journey, beyond the gates and borders.

The individuals presented in Peqini’s paintings are unidentifiable, leaving open the possibility for each of us to transform into the characters of his paintings.

Artan Peqini is a professor of sculpture and dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts. Although known more for his work with sculpture, in recent years, the artist has devoted himself to painting. /gj.m/p.s./

Minister of Culture Elva Margariti visited the exhibition yesterday saying that, “This Autumn” by painter Orion Shima, is a break from the noisy daily life, an effort to be in tune with the nature, colors and aroma of the season”.

In this exhibition, there are put on display 19 works of art in oil realized during the last two years, which appear in the form of a triptych, where the author opposes indifference to nature through the cycle of scarecrows.

Shima’s paintings are in large dimensions, even the motifs of the garden of “This Autumn” come in dimensions 3.60 by 2.20 m.
