INSTAT data shows that this marks one of the fastest growth rates among Albania’s trade partners in 2025.

A key driver of this growth has been the export of minerals and metal goods—including iron, steel, and their by-products—which now account for an increasingly significant portion of bilateral trade.

In value terms, exports to Spain reached 6.2 billion lekë in the first four months of 2025, compared to 4.4 billion lekë during the same period last year.

Imports from Spain also recorded an increase, reaching a value of 4.4 billion lekë, up from 4.2 billion lekë in 2024.

Spain is increasingly emerging as an important and potentially strategic market for Albanian exports, offering new opportunities for diversifying trade partners and developing key production sectors—particularly the metal processing industry, where the country is demonstrating growing capacity for international competitiveness.
