According to the report on foreign trade published by INSTAT, the imports of goods also increased during the month of April.

Imports, INSTAT says, reached the value of ALL 75 billion, increasing by 0.6%, compared to a year ago and by the same amount, compared to March 2024.

This month’s trade deficit is 41 billion ALL, decreasing by 0.3% compared to April 2023 and by 2% compared to March 2024.

During the month of April, the export increase of 1.8% was positively driven by the groups “minerals, fuels, electricity” with 4.6 percentage points, “food, beverages, tobacco” with 1.3 percentage points and “chemical and plastic products” with 0.5 percentage points.

The groups “textiles and footwear” had a negative impact with 3.1 points
percentage, and “construction materials and metals” with 0.6 percentage points.
