According to the report published by the Institute of Statistics (INSTAT), exports of goods reached the value of 234 billion ALL, decreasing by 7.4%, while imports of goods reached the value of 439 billion ALL, decreasing by 1.6%, compared to a year ago.

The trade deficit reached the value of 204 billion ALL, increasing by 5.9%, compared to the same period of 2022.
The INSTAT data show that the groups that have had a negative impact on the annual decrease in exports are “construction materials and metals” with 6.8 percentage points, “minerals, fuels, electricity” with 2.2 percentage points, “chemical and plastic products ” with 1 percentage point, etc.

Meanwhile, the groups “food, beverages, tobacco” had a positive impact with 2.1 percentage points and “machinery, equipment and spare parts” with 0.8 percentage points.
