TIRANA, April 25 /ATA/ On the second day of the forum, which is taking place in Tirana, participants from the government, international institutions and relevant actors are brainstorming ideas and opinions on the communal work and challenges, focusing on Business Climate, Company Productivity and Human Capital.

Deputy Prime Minister, also Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, in her remarks pointed out that the government is focusing on strengthening human capital and for this reason it is addressing continuous support for increasing the qualification of human capital and performance.

“This forum,” she said, “serves as a meeting place to discuss what we have done and what we need to improve in order to maintain productivity performance.”

“The profound reform of the salary system, which is intended to bring the average salary to 900 euros and increase the minimum salary in the private sector to 40 thousand lek, are initiatives in the followup to this important mission of the government,” said Balluku.

According to her, the government will also support pensioners. “650,000 retirees have received the bonus and a second installment of this bonus will be paid in September,” Balluku emphasized.

Also, she added, the government made the decision to subsidize businesses for the additional cost of insurance from the minimum wage raise.

Government policies have also been extended to professional training and support for improving the business climate. The investment in digitalization of services has improved the business climate and increased foreign investments.

“Albania 2030 is implementing infrastructure development strategies. In 2029, Albania will be a net exporter of energy by making investments in the diversification of alternative sources for the production of electricity,” said Balluku.
