This, according to her, paves the way for high school seniors to return to schools across the country, strictly adhering to the Covid-containment protocols.

The decision was taken by the Technical Committee of Experts, which met today to discuss the pandemic situation and the new Covid-containment measures.

“As part of the follow-up monitoring of epidemiological situation due to Sars-Cov-2 infection and COVID-19 disease in Albania, in the light of election campaign and mass vaccination, the experts’ committee met to assess the weekly indicators and the situation of this infection. The situation in the country has stabilized with a slight downward trend in infections, yet it remains delicate,” declared Rakacolli.

Based on these figures and the analysis of the causes and situations, Rakacolli said, experts think that the situation remains stable, pursuing the downward trend of a week ago in infections, hospitalizations, fatalities or even emergency calls.

“However the figures are not deemed adequate to relax the restrictions, so we think that the measures proposed to be reviewed in the deadline of the previous meeting will be reviewed in that deadline,” said Rakacolli.
Exception to the rule, she said, will be high school seniors who will resume one-on-one classes.
According to her, the curfew 20: 00-06: 00, as well as ban on flights with Great Britain remain unchanged.
