This expedition was made possible thanks to the inter-institutional cooperation between CNR France – Institute of Cultural Heritage and Bylis National Archaeological Park.

“We are all enthusiastic with the results of the work achieved, in the conservation intervention to one of the most beautiful mosaics with pastoral scenes in Bylis. The mission team managed to remove the altar mosaic of Basilica C from the emergency situation,” the Bylis National Archaeological Park said in a post on social media.

The field work among the mosaics will be finalized with the second volume of the Mosaic Corps, where Bylis will have the main weight.

The ancient city of Bylis is located just outside the small town of Ballsh, 10 km away, on the right side of the road, where there is a range of high hills.

Bylis Theatre is one of the largest monuments of this archaeological center, which was built at the beginning of the 3rd century BC and has a capacity of 7500 seats, which means that it was one of the largest works of time. /k.s/j.p/p.s./
