The National Library has staged an exhibition in tribute to this important figure of cultural life, politics and national consciousness. The exhibition featuring books and manuscripts will stay on display in the main hall of the National Library.

Father Zef Pllumi languished for 26 years in notorious communist prisons and after the fall of the dictatorship he wrote his memoirs.

His greatest and most important work is the trilogy ” “Rrno vetëm për me tregue”, first published in 1995, featuring the preface “Under the Iron Shirt of Memories” by Prof. Aurel Plasari. The second edition in 2006 was prefaced by the giant of Albanian literature, Ismail Kadare.
