19 365 farmers from 12 regions of the country have accessed the free oil scheme for agriculture.

According to data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, oil subsidies for agriculture have aroused the interest of farmers in accessing tax-free diesel oil for agricultural work.
19 365 applications with about 4.1 million litres of oil for an area of about 31 558 hectares of fodder and corn have qualified.

In the first phase of application, over 20 thousand farmers nationwide have applied for the tax-free diesel oil scheme over January 15-March 30 2021 span.

This incentive significantly reduced farmers’ costs in production and consequently prices for the consumer.

As of January 1 this year, the govt. lifted the excise, the circulation and carbon tax on agricultural production reducing the fuel price by half.

Farmers equipped with NIPT received oil 54% cheaper than the market value for their agricultural activity.
1 billion ALL have been added to the state budget for this scheme designed to help farmers through abolition of oil taxes in agriculture.

Farmers benefited during 2021 oil free from excise tax (37 ALL), circulation tax (27 ALL) and environmental impact tax (3 ALL).

Relieving the fiscal burden on agriculture is a good news for all farmers across the country, of whom 47,600 who have a farmer NIPT are automatically potential beneficiaries of the scheme, while the rest is in the process of formalization to access this scheme.
