Minister of Defense Pirro Vengu shared updates on the ongoing operations being conducted by the Southern Infantry Regiment.
“Personnel from the Southern Infantry Regiment are on the front lines, engaged in evacuations and handling civil emergencies in Ferras, Fier, and the Municipality of Dimal,” Vengu stated.
The heavy rainfall in recent days has exacerbated problems in several regions of the country, particularly in Durrës, Vlorë, and Fier.
The Ministry of Defense has ordered the evacuation in several areas of these districts, specifically in Novoselë, Vlorë, Ferras, Fier, as well as in Sukth and Katundin e Ri, Durrës.
