The introductory meeting comes after Nano’s appointment as Albania’s State Police chief and De Bolle’s reconfirmation as EUROPOL’s executive director.

The meeting focused on ways to strengthen cooperation and the Albanian State Police contribution to the security of the country, as well as to the EU security. The two also discussed ways to enhance State Police capacities in the EUROPOL-led operations.

De Bolle praised Albanian police for significant results in the fight against illicit drugs and their trafficking. Congratulating Nano on his appointment as the State Police chief, De Bolle expressed readiness for cooperation and EUROPOL support.

Director-General Gledis Nano assured EUROPOL executive director of Albanian State Police commitment to cooperate with law enforcement agencies.
