Croatian author Miro Gavran, who visited Tirana thanks to the support of the Croatian Embassy, opened the third day’s events, in a discussion with the director Andi Begolli, with reflections on his journey from children’s writer to acclaimed playwright and novelist.

Addressing themes of loneliness and the interplay of drama and comedy, he explored emotions that resonate universally. With over 50 works, Gavran shared how his writing blends personal experiences with imagination, inviting readers into deeply intimate spaces.

The session featured a play performance of his work by Albanian actors Luiza Xhuvani and Ilirda Bejleri, offering a unique experience for the audience.

Italian author Paolo Giordano became part of FELT thanks to the support of the Italian Embassy, with his session moderated by the Albanian author Enkel Demi and his publisher in Albania Arlinda Dudaj. Discussing his latest work “Tazmania”, now available in Albanian, he revealed how the novel was born during the pandemic as a response to global turmoil – a reflection on the false hope of escape from the hardships of life. Described as a metaphor for fleeing the ordinary yet never truly succeeding, Tazmania invites readers to confront reality, sparking thought-provoking conversations.

FELT 2024 concluded with a concert by Musica Nova, organised in cooperation with the Italian Institute of Culture. The performance celebrated the collaboration and cultural richness of the festival, providing a perfect closing to three days of European literary and artistic excellence.

Thank you to all the authors, moderators, embassies, and attendees who made FELT a true celebration of European culture.
