Albania scored a stoppage time goal to secure a 2-2 draw against Croatia in their first ever competitive match between the two teams.

Albania took the lead in the 11th  minute after Qazim Laçi headed in a beautiful cross from Jasir Asani at the near post.

Albania’s red and blacks kept pressing ahead to score a second goal, but the Croatian keeper Dominik Livaković kept his side in the game with a big one-on-one save in the 31st minute, after Asani went through on goal. In the last minutes of the first half, Livakovic once again made another good save after Rey Manaj headed the ball from point blank range.

Croatia drew in 74th minute and took the lead in 76th minute with Gjasula’s own goal.

But Gjasula redeemed himself by scoring in 95th minute and earning his team a well-deserved point.
