Foreign Minister affirmed Albania’s firm commitment to its European integration path, to the the Euro- Atlantic community and full alignment with EU’s common foreign and security policy.

Hasani also stated that Albanian government is doing utmost efforts to deliver on the objectives set forth by the European Union.

“Last week’s progress report by the European Commission confirms the EU commitment to the region. If the EU strengthens its global role in promoting the rule of law, its success in our region is decisive. Time is ripe for the Western Balkans to be a partner in discussing common security challenges. We need more access to EU bodies to deal with security threats,” the Albanian diplomacy chief said.

Foreign Minister Igli Hasani held talks with the Foreign Minister of Spain Jose Manuel Albares, and the EU Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi, on the margins of the EU-Western Balkans ministerial meeting.
