During the joint press conference with the Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, Rama thanked the Secretary of State for this support which, according to him, is little talked about.

“It is a continuous, important and useful support for Albania’s progress in the EU accession process,” said Rama.

The Prime Minister emphasized that this is a process that hinges on what we do and the judgment and assessment of our partners and allies in the EU, but for several years we have felt and highly appreciate the interest of the US administration, especially of the State Department.

“We have seen the fact that time after time the Secretary of State, in important meetings with European allies, underlines the need to push for EU membership, as a strategic interest of the USA”, said Rama.
