The EU Delegation in Tirana reported that a substitute helicopter from the Czech Republic arrived on Tuesday in Tirana.

“Operations continue. Gratitude to the Czech and Dutch teams fighting the wildfires to protect the population. The strongest equipment can wear out but not the resolve and solidarity,” according to the posting of EU Delegation in Tirana.

The first helicopter arrived from the Czech Republic on August 6 to cope with the fire situation, as part of the activation of the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism. The helicopter has a capacity of 1000 liters and battled the flames in Karaburun.
