In a social media statement, the EU Delegation in Tirana expressed confidence that by implementing reforms, Albania can achieve its ambitious goal of concluding negotiations by the end of 2027.

“Congratulations to Prime Minister Edi Rama and all Ministers on their taking office. With a sustained effort in adopting and implementing the necessary reforms through transparent and inclusive processes, Albania can achieve its ambitious goal of closing EU accession negotiations by the end of 2027. We look forward to working together with all Albanian stakeholders in achieving this important milestone to the benefit of Albanian people,” the EU Delegation in Tirana writes.

The new government cabinet was sworn in on September 19 before President of the Republic Bajram Begaj, officially assuming office. The composition of the new cabinet was approved by the Parliament during the plenary session on September 18, receiving 82 votes in favor, while the opposition boycotted the vote.
