TIRANA, Oct 29 /ATA/ Deputy Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Silda Anagnosti, stated on Tuesday that the entire political spectrum in the country supports the process of European Union integration.
At the 18th meeting of the EU-Albania Stabilization and Association Committee, Deputy Minister Anagnosti highlighted the unwavering support that the European Parliament has provided in the integration process of our country.
According to her, full membership in the EU remains Albania’s top priority.
“There is a broad consensus across the Albanian political spectrum on this matter, and the population also fully approves of EU membership,” she said.
She assured that the Albanian government is laser focused on the European reform agenda.
Anagnosti also addressed international developments, specifically the Russian aggression in Ukraine which, according to her, has shifted political dynamics and mad EU enlargement even more crucial for the security of the EU.
“We must embrace regional processes that bring previously divided parties closer together in pursuit of a brighter future characterized by peace, stability, and prosperity. This is the EU model offered to the Western Balkans for two decades, a model that is also supported by the Albanian government,” Anagnosti said.
The deputy minister emphasized the need for a predictable integration process that encourages improvements in the political situation while also providing benefits before actual membership and ensuring regional stability.

“The EU integration process must continue. We have received positive evaluations not only in the latest report from the European Parliament but also from the Council, particularly with the opening of the first cluster on ‘fundamentals’ in Luxembourg in October during the second intergovernmental conference. Only through encouragement and a vision for the future can governments be motivated to implement the necessary reforms,” said the deputy minister.
Ajo bëri të ditur se administrata publike po përgatitet për hapjen e kapitujve të mëtejshëm në të ardhmen.

“Albania hopes that Chapter 6, which focuses on external relations, will be opened soon. The opening of this chapter, based on our foreign policy of loyalty, is a decision that should be made quickly if the EU is serious about its global role,” Anagnosti stated.
