TIRANA, Nov 17 /ATA/ The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs announced that, at today’s seventh Intergovernmental Conference on Albania’s EU accession, talks were opened on the remaining five chapters of the “Agriculture, Cohesion and Resources” cluster.

The Ministry noted that, with this step, Albania has successfully opened all EU accession negotiation chapters as pledged, marking a historic achievement for the country and its citizens.
The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs highlighted that “this moment proves that the reforms carried out over recent years have yielded tangible results, have been acknowledged and valued by our European partners.”
“The opening of the chapters reflects the Albanian Government’s commitment to deep and transformative reforms; the dedication of Albanian institutions to meeting European standards; excellent cooperation with the European Commission and member states; and the broad support of Albanian citizens for the European path,” the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs emphasized.
The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs stated that “Albania is set to enter a new phase, both demanding and crucial: the closing of chapters and conclusion of negotiations, achieved through further strengthening of the rule of law, greater transparency, institutional consolidation, progress in economic reforms, and ongoing alignment with the acquis communautaire.”

The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs announced that “The Republic of Albania remains determined to move forward with seriousness, responsibility, and resolve, viewing European integration not only as a strategic objective but as a national project and an unwavering commitment to European values and principles.”

The Ministry expressed its gratitude to the European Commission, the member states, and all partners who have supported this process, while underlining Albania’s full readiness to maintain the momentum of reforms, complete the negotiations by 2027, and achieve European Union membership within this decade.
