TIRANA, November 20 /ATA/ Albania has joined the Academy of European Law (ERA) Foundation.

Minister of Justice Ulsi Manja stated that, “Today in Trier, Germany, Albania, through the Ministry of Justice, has taken an important step towards European integration in the field of law enforcement, becoming the first of the countries of the Western Balkans to join in the Academy of European Law (ERA) Foundation”.

According to him, Albanian civil servants as well as members of the legal system will already benefit from this membership, in the events organized by ERA. As a member, Albania will have its seat on the ERA Governing Board.

“This cooperation will bring better legal harmonization with EU standards, professional capacity building, closer international cooperation, better preparation for EU membership and an increase in legal expertise for the law enforcement community in Albania”, said Manja.

Manja expressed gratitude to all member countries of the ERA Foundation, the President of the Foundation, the Board of Directors and the Director of the Academy, for their support and commitment in this important journey of Albania towards the improvement of our legal system.
