The Institute of Geosciences reported that the earthquake was 15 km deep and had its epicenter in the village of Shale, 3 km west of Elbasan.

The earthquake was also felt in other cities such as Tirana, Lushnja, Durrës, Berat, Fier.

The MP of the Socialist Party Erion Braçe said that the earthquake didn’t cause any material damage.

“Unfortunately, there was a victim of panic”, Braçe wrote in the social media.

Daniel Rika, 18 years old, lost his life accidentally. Being in a serious psychological state, including panic, he attempted to leave the house, but fell down the stairs and lost his life./p.s./
