TIRANA, May 7/ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama, also the leader of the Socialist Party, said today that the Central Election Commission’s data on the voting envelopes received by voters in the Diaspora are encouraging and the participation is high, but as the first time, as he put it, it should be much higher than other times.

Through a video message posted in the social media before leaving for Fushë Kruja where the routine electoral meeting has been announced today, Rama reiterated the call for Albanians in Italy, Greece and other countries not to wait for the postal company to deliver the envelope, but to return it to the relevant DHL postal office.

“I would say to the Albanians of Italy with 74% of return envelopes; go ahead as there are 21 thousand undelivered envelopes yet. I would say to the Albanians of Greece with 39%; go ahead as there are 36 thousand undelivered envelopes yet. There is still time and don’t wait for them to come and take your envelope, but return it to the relevant DHL post office”, said Rama.

“From Germany 72%, but there are still 7 thousand envelopes not returned yet. The USA is very impressive, 70%, but there are still 5,500 envelopes not returned yet; Great Britain with 59%, but 7 thousand envelopes not yet returned”, affirmed Rama.

The prime minister reiterated his appeal that this process should move forward as quickly as possible, but according to Rama it is a historic opportunity, a historic vote and a historic moment.

Rama said that it would be a shame that after the effort has been made to register, the return of the ballots has not been realized that.

“In total, there are 65%; the flow continues to be high and growing, but the time is running short”, concluded Rama. /j.p/p.s./
