TIRANA, October 26 /ATSH/ – The entrance road to the city of Durrës has undergone a radical transformation following its reconstruction.

In a post on social media, Rama shared images of the “Adria” street, which now offers more space for pedestrians and cyclists.

A key component of the project is the construction of a new rainwater drainage system.

“An radical transformation of gateway to Durrës. The road now features new sidewalks, bicycle lanes, modern lighting, signage, and greenery, along with a new rainwater drainage system that resolves a long-standing flooding issue at the city’s entrance,” wrote Rama.

This investment represents another step toward improving urban infrastructure and enhancing the quality of public spaces in the city of Durrës.

TIRANA, December 4/ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama visited the Northern city of Shkodra today. In the beginning, he stopped at the construction site of the waterfront of the new entrance to the city, a project that will completely change the face of the city. Accompanied by Mayor of Shkodra Benet Beci, Rama saw the first lot of the construction site. The project envisages not only the transformation of the city entrance, but also urban requalification.

“Shkodra is the only city with such a great potential and was in need of an entrance that would fit to it”, PM Rama underlined.

The investment envisages the creation of sports facilities, a bicycle track, panoramic points over the lake, spaces for activities, a new pier that will complete the network with those of Shiroka and Zogaj, as well as a beautiful museum about the history of navigation on the lake and in the Buna River.

On his part, Mayor Beci described the project as long-awaited by the citizens of Shkodra. “It is one of the most welcome projects and no one expected that we would start it so soon”.

The waterfront site of the new entrance to Shkodra, a major project with a re-qualified recreational space for the city, envisages the re-qualification of the 17 ha park and will have sports facilities, a bicycle track, panoramic points over the lake, spaces for activities, concerts and fairs, as well as a new pier that will complete the network of piers with those of Shiroka and Zogaj, as well as a beautiful museum about the history of navigation on the Buna lake and river./p.s./
