Speaking on a panel with EU Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos and Moldova’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mihai Popșoi, Minister Hoxha emphasized that the EU enlargement process remains one of the Union’s most effective tools for promoting peace, stability, and prosperity in Europe.

Minister Hoxha emphasized that the enlargement process has once again been placed prominently and decisively at the forefront of the European agenda.

He underscored that Albania remains steadfast in its conviction that the process must continue to be firmly grounded in the principle of merit and implementation of comprehensive reforms, thereby progressively advancing the country’s integration with the European Union and ensuring that the Union remains responsive to the legitimate aspirations and needs of its citizens.

Minister Hoxha stated that Albania is fully prepared for this pivotal moment, having undertaken comprehensive and transformative institutional reforms, achieved full alignment with the European Union’s Common Foreign and Security Policy, and fostered a society whose commitment to the European project remains unwavering.
