At the joint press conference after the panel discussions during the conference organized in Belgrade under the auspices of the Norwegian government focused on investment opportunities in renewable energy in the Western Balkans and cooperation of regional countries in energy security, Eriksen said that the energy green can give a boost to energy transition all across the region.

“The efforts we are already making will make the region more climate-friendly, more resilient and stronger. Today we discussed a very important perspective on how to make this energy transition part of regional initiatives, make sure that cross-border cooperation is strengthened and create more resilient, more affordable, more sustainable systems which can stand the test of time,” he said.
Eriksen emphasized the importance of developing energy systems in all countries.
