The news was announced on Tuesday by Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, who said that Albania will give Kosovo 7680 MWh, which will be given in the form of storage.

“It was the special order of PM Rama to supply Kosovo which is dealing with energy crisis during December 31 and January 1,” said Balluku.

“The Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy has mobilized all human resources, our specialists, together with the specialists of the Kosovo Electromagnetic Corporation to work out a plan for supply of Kosovo in these important days,” said Balluku.

“So after an agreement with the heads of the Kosovo Electromagnetic Corporation we managed to provide 3600 MWh for December 31 and 4080 MWh for January 1. A total of 7680 MWh will be given in the form of storage, ie without any financial effect for the Republic of Kosovo, to be returned to the Republic of Albania during the summer season, when our hydro resources begin to deplete. So, this deposit, which will be delivered within this month in the Republic of Kosovo, will be returned to us during the summer season, ie from June to September “, underlined Balluku.
