The registration is necessary to ensure the elevator’s compliance with legal requirements.

Law 10489 stipulates that every elevator must be registered with the Inspectorate before being put in service. And it should be subject to periodic inspections, according to the deadlines set in the government decision No 1056 “On the safety of elevators”.

The Inspectorate said that monitoring the safety of elevators in use by citizens in apartment blocks is one of its priorities. /p.s./
