The Albanian Football Association said that this committee aims to support member associations in their institutional and technical development, as well as in implementation of football governance policies.

“The election of President Duka into this structure constitutes a proper important evaluation of Albanian football and his long contribution to the international arena, where he has also been UEFA Vice-President, a member of the UEFA Executive Committee and Chairman of the UEFA Media Committee for many years,” the Albanian Football Association said. /e.i/j.p/p.s./

The decision was taken today at the routine meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee which elected President Duka by unanimous vote to the position of number two of the European football government. This is a natural decision considering the great contribution of the President of the Albanian Football Association over the years and his experience in football management already in Europe.

This is another important vote of confidence for the number One of Albanian football, who a few months ago was elected for the second time as a member of the UEFA Executive Committee at the 47th UEFA Congress that took place in Lisbon, Portugal.

In these elections, President Duka hit a record as he was ranked in first place based on votes, as the most voted candidate, being elected with 45 votes in total out of 55 and thus receiving the trust of many delegates of large European federations for the second time.

Today’s news is without doubt a great achievement not only for Albanian football, but for all of Albania./p.s./
