The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Igli Hasani hailed the ratification as a crucial step that will help Albania to further advance its European integration and sustainable development.

According to him, opening the EIB office in Tirana represents an opportunity to speed up implementation of the strategic projects, including infrastructure, renewable energy, digitization, health care and education system.

Foreign Minister noted that the EIB’s presence will help in efforts to secure new funding and support for key projects that would contribute to the country’s economic growth and welfare.

He said that “opening the EIB branch in Tirana is of incredible importance for Albania’s economic development and European integration, and it sends strong message of confidence in economy and business climate in our country.”
