TIRANA, Sept 4 /ATA/ During a televised interview on Thursday, Prime Minister Edi Rama said that Eden Park—constructed within the premises of the Prime Minister’s Office—embodies the government’s vision for Albania and is intended to showcase that vision with dignity to visiting guests.

Rama emphasized that the project’s cost was significantly lower than its actual worth, noting that its true value lies in its role as a gateway for visiting guests. He highlighted the importance of receiving them in a setting that conveys dignity and embodies the government’s vision for Albania—calling it a meaningful enhancement to the nation’s image.

Eden Park will be made available to the staff of the Prime Minister’s Office on regular working days, while the public will have access during special events and organized activities.

When asked whether the park matches the realities outside the government building, Prime Minister Rama responded that it increasingly reflects many evolving realities across Albania.

“There are many aspects of Albania that have changed,” he said. “Of course, transforming everything to this level takes time, but once again, the expenses are negligible compared to the added value they generate and the benefits they bring in the long run.”

“This project represents a public investment,” Rama stated. “Welcoming the President of the United Arab Emirates and their key ministers here—leaders whose achievements in development are widely recognized—and witnessing their genuine interest in the design, philosophy, and symbolic essence of this space is a moment that instills pride in Albania.”

He underscored that the park reflects a modern vision: a deliberate effort to integrate nature, greenery, and a sense of harmony within the urban core.

“This is not my personal backyard,” he continued. “It is a forward-thinking park designed to serve future prime ministers and to enrich the value of this institution for years to come.”

The project was conceived by an Austrian architectural studio and centers on wood as its foundational material. Rather than creating a conventional ground-level garden, it presents a three-dimensional concept—an elevated, layered space designed to accommodate a variety of public events and activities.
