The participating leaders discussed security challenges facing Europe in a plenary session, followed by four main sessions focusing on migration and economic security.

Prime Minister took to the social media on Friday to post a gallery of photos showing the summit sessions and the meetings with European leaders as Albania takes over as host country of the next European Political Community (EPC) summit in the first half of next year, marking a significant step for the country’s engagement in European affairs.

“The photo gallery of another significant day for Albania’s engagement in the international arena, where our country was handed over the flag as the host country of the European Political Community summit in the first half of 2025,” PM Rama said.

Speaking at joint press conference with the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán after the ECP meeting in Budapest earlier today, the government head affirmed that the EPC summit will take place in the first half of next year in the Albanian capital of Tirana.

According to Rama, the EPC summit in Budapest brought entire Europe in a single place.

“It was a very special day because this is a very beautiful capital and we had the opportunity to enjoy it. The conversations with the prime minister were also very special. Seeing Europe come together here has been remarkable,” Rama remarked.

The Premier underlined it would be a great privilege for him and his team to host an equally successful ECP meeting in Tirana next year.

“Hosting the next meeting in Tirana is a privilege we are eager to take on,” he said.

“I have to say that such a conversation with the EU was unimaginable until recently. This for a numbr of reasons and Vladimir Putin was certainly one of them, as he woke up Europe. Yet, I should also acknowledge that this forum, as well as what is happening with the European Commission, the new Growth Plan and the gradual integration, are all very encouraging,” Rama said.

PM Rama praised French President Emmanuel Macron for championing this community-driven platform, which allows leaders to engage openly on essential issues.

The summit in Albania, scheduled for 2025, will mark the fifth such gathering in the community’s history. These meetings bring together European leaders to address key issues affecting the continent.
