This enables the government to continue implementing its public investment program.

Minister of Finance and Economy Anila Denaj in a televised interview said that, “the data of this period give clear signals that the economy has started to get back on its feet with the process of reconstruction and vaccination of the population playing a crucial role. The hopes are for a greater recovery during the tourist season.”

“The economy has started to recover. All the public works have continued apace, from reconstruction which is one of the main projects on the ground today, but at the same time an increased liquidity in the economy that also has a positive spill-over effect on employment and consumption. We have pushed ahead with the mass vaccination that requires additional funding. All this has started to come to fruition,” said Denaj.

She underlined that this year’s budget will be available to immunize the population, not only to protect health but also to spur the economy.
