TIRANA, Aug 23 /ATA/ At the end of June, there are 725,572 jobs with an increase of over 15,000 jobs compared to June 2021.

Minister of Finance and Economy, Delina Ibrahimaj, stated a day earlier during the monthly press conference on developments in the economy that in addition to the increase in employment, wages have also continued to increase.

“At the end of June, jobs in the country recorded 725,572 jobs, a significantly higher number than a year ago, 15,108 jobs more than a year ago. Of course, we compare employment to a year ago due to seasonal behavior, as there are many businesses that open for the summer period to support tourism. But this and all the other figures show that it is a better season for the economy and for tourism in particular. On the other hand, wages have continued to rise, thus indirectly supporting the budgets of Albanian families to buffer the price crisis,” Ibrahimaj said.

Minister Ibrahimaj said that the country’s economy has continued its positive performance, despite the negative impact that Russian aggression has had on Ukraine, compounded by an increase in prices in international markets and in our country.

This positive progress of the economy, said Ibrahimaj, has been driven by the policies undertaken by the government to support the most needy classes, maintain the level of consumption and further increase in the level of investments.
